MAPSS Summer Tour 2024 - Marcell Experimental Forest
The MAPSS Summer Tour will highlight US Forest Service research at the Marcell Experimental Forest near Grand Rapids, MN on August 23, 2024 with optional pre-event points of interest on August 22. The US Forest Service is conducting the world’s largest climate change experiment near Marcell. The Spruce and Peatland Responses Under Changing Environments (SPRUCE) research facility is an experiment to assess the response of peatland ecosystems to increases in temperature and exposures to elevated atmospheric CO2 concentrations.
